We deal with the problem of reconstructing an obstacle using acoustic scattered waves at multiple frequencies corresponding to few incident waves. We first discuss the properties of uniqueness and stability of this inverse problems for small, moderate and high frequencies. Then, we describe a recursive algorithm to solve this problem. The convergence (and the convergence rate) of this algorithm will be derived and we show how it is related to the frequency dependent quantitative estimates of the stability.
